I am a registered psychological associate, who is currently working towards his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University Maryland. My therapeutic style is strength based, focusing on collaborating with my clients to help them define goals and empowering them to achieve these goals. I have worked with clients to increase their self-esteem, envision the ideal version of themselves, and understand alternative perspectives. I utilize creative approaches to help make positive changes attainable and create a friendly environment. I also conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments for diagnostic clarity, to explore emotional and behavioral functioning, highlight cognitive strengths and weakness, and provide recommendations. I value clients’ diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
My approach focuses on understanding individuals’ unique lived experiences and adapting techniques or using assessment measures to fit my clients’ needs. My previous work experience involved supporting high risk adolescents with safety concerns through risk management, intensive care, and compassion. This position allowed me to work with a variety of experiences and challenges including mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma. I have also worked with adolescents experiencing high levels of grief through creating a supportive environment to mitigate this grief and enhance coping skills. I have used cognitive, achievement, self-report, and projective measures for assessments. Life can be challenging, and we all need support at times, so I hope to be a source of comfort and a useful resource for gaining insight into yourself.
