ANGELIQUE DAKKAK, M.S., PA

Years in Practice: 2 Years
School: Loyola University
Year Expected to Graduate: 2025
I am a registered psychological associate currently working towards a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University Maryland. My journey as a therapy provider started with leading a social skills group for adolescents with autism. It was then that I realized how significant an individual’s environment is to their ability to grow and change beyond the obstacles they face. Since then, I have taken a systems-based approach to therapy, meaning I work with clients on bringing awareness to how the systems in their lives (e.g., family, work, culture) have and continue to impact their development. Using this approach, my goal is to provide clients with a space where they can process their difficult experiences without judgment and reflect on how those experiences have shaped them. Throughout, I emphasize the collaborative nature of therapy, continually asking for clients’ feedback and reflections on the therapy process thus far.
I have a diverse range of training experiences, including working with children between the ages of four to seventeen in school and hospital settings and working with young adults in school and outpatient settings. I have experience running support groups for adults and social skills groups for children and adolescents. I also conduct family therapy and have training in conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments.
